Engineering Graphics

10^th-12^th grade classification
Successful completion of Intro to CAD (80+ average)

Have you ever wondered how a particular product was ever invented?  Want to design your own custom wheels that you can really see spin? In this advanced drafting course, students will explore the engineering design process by creating solid model 3D products on the industry’s leading software, Autodesk Inventor.  Students will utilize this state-of-the-art design software package to complete a number of typical and practical engineering design problems.  As a member of this team, you will participate in exciting, hands-on construction and design problems that will challenge you, capture your attention and provide the skills necessary to be successful in one of the most rewarding careers available today.  As a team, we will tackle problems ranging from hand sketches to building working robots for competition.  If you have a desire to create and improve upon products and a natural curiosity about how things work, this is the class for you!
